I'm Ray — I've spent the last decade quietly turning data into things that make businesses money.
Based in Taos, NM. I've spent the last decade building data products, leading teams, and figuring out where AI creates real value — not hype. Here's the short version.
Spent seven years helping the largest utilities in the country make better decisions with data. Managed millions in consulting engagements, brought in $20M+ in new business, and learned how to translate messy problems into clear solutions.
Built an internal data application that flagged billing and dispensing discrepancies for patient medications — saving $31M in revenue at risk, increasing audit output by 23x, and replacing five full-time roles worth of manual review. Got good at shipping things that actually matter.
Went back to school to go deeper — machine learning, NLP, generative AI, the full stack. Built AirAware TX for my capstone, an AI-powered app that used LLMs and RAG to translate complex Texas air emissions data into real-time, actionable health insights for residents. Formalized what I'd been doing intuitively for years.
